IWF partnership strengthens CaseScan’s ability to swiftly detect child sexual abuse content

Published:  Tue 2 Jun 2026

CaseScan, a specialist technology company supporting child protection investigations and digital safety efforts, has joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) as a Member. The partnership brings together CaseScan’s detection capabilities and the IWF’s trusted child sexual abuse material intelligence to support more effective investigative detection workflows.

CaseScan develops technology that helps specialist teams identify, classify and prioritise child sexual abuse material with greater speed and accuracy. Originally built to support forensic and law enforcement environments, its tools help teams review harmful content more efficiently, reduce manual workloads and respond faster when illegal material is found. The need for this work is becoming increasingly urgent. In its 2025 Annual Data & Insights Report, the IWF highlights a rapidly evolving online threat landscape, shaped by new technologies, systemic vulnerabilities and the continued distribution of child sexual abuse material across the internet.

Through its membership, CaseScan will be able to draw on the IWF’s intelligence and services to strengthen how it helps approved clients detect child sexual abuse material. This collaboration will support faster identification of criminal content.

Ori Mendelevich, CEO at CaseScan, said: “CaseScan was built to support professionals working on the front line of child protection investigations, where speed, accuracy and careful use of resources matter.

“By joining the IWF, CaseScan strengthens its ability to help tackle child sexual abuse material and support organisations that want to take decisive action against this criminal content. This partnership reflects CaseScan’s commitment to protecting children and helping create a safer digital world.”

Kerry Smith, CEO of the IWF, said: “The IWF’s vision is to secure an online world without child sexual abuse and exploitation, and we cannot do so without the support of like-minded companies like CaseScan that are committed to creating a safer internet for all.

“Intelligence sourced through the front-line work of IWF analysts is integral to the services we provide and can be used to protect children online and prevent their repeated victimisation.

“Partnerships enable us to disrupt the criminal distribution of images and videos of children being sexually abused online more effectively. It is only by working together that we can secure a future for children online that provides opportunity instead of potential harm.”
