Driving Safety Standards and Accountability

Child sexual abuse material can surface anywhere online. If we are serious about removing it wherever it appears, we must work with every part of the digital ecosystem.

The IWF’s Associate Member programme includes companies that operate in a variety of sectors, including the adult content space, and are committed to preventing the upload, storage and sharing of known child sexual abuse imagery on their platforms. Through strategic association, these organisations integrate IWF’s tools, data and expertise into their moderation and safety systems, strengthening their ability to detect, block and remove known criminal content quickly and effectively.

Engagement with all sectors, including the adult sector, is a practical and necessary part of protecting children online. By working collaboratively with responsible companies across all sectors, we help close potential routes through which abusive imagery might circulate and ensure that the same standards and safeguards apply across the internet.

Associate Members commit to ongoing dialogue, transparency and continuous improvement in their approach to preventing child sexual abuse imagery. This partnership model reflects the core principle: wherever child sexual abuse material appears, it must be found and removed.
