STEP 1:

Choose an event and register! From swimming to sprinting, there's something for everyone, in every corner of the UK - and even abroad! Whatever you choose, every penny you raise will go towards making the internet a safer place for everyone.
STEP 2:

You'll receive an email from our Fundraising Team, welcoming you as an IWF Fundraising Hero! We'll be with you every step of the way, providing tailored support throughout your fundraising journey. We'll also send you a free IWF t-shirt, in a colour and size of your choice.
STEP 3:

Set up your JustGiving page! We'll help by providing a how to guide, stats, facts, videos and images to help you tell your story and illustrate how donating makes an impact on online safety.
STEP 4:

Start fundraising! We can help you plan an exciting calendar of fundraising activities to increase your donations - from bake sales to guessing your finish time, there are plenty of ways to engage your supporters and smash your target!
STEP 5:

Don't forget to train! Documenting and sharing updates about your training is an amazing way to keep your supporters excited about your goal and to keep the donations coming as the months tick by.
STEP 6:

Complete your event! You've trained for months and smashed your target, and now's the moment you've been waiting for! Be sure to tell us how you did - and most importantly, how much fun you had!
STEP 7:

We say a massive "thank you"! You've worked so hard, training for months and raising funds to support our vital work. We love to recognise our supporters on our website and social media, so let us know if you're happy for us to share your photos, videos and quotes.

How does Run for Charity work?

Choose from over 750 events, search by region or pick from our spotlight events taking place in 2025 below. Every pound you raise will support our mission to combat online child sexual abuse.

However, if you have a place in an event already and would like to raise money for IWF, you can set up a fundraising page using JustGiving. All our runners, walkers, swimmers, obstacle racers and bungee jumpers will receive support from our dedicated fundraising team. However you choose to support IWF, we’ll be cheering you on to complete your challenge and smash your fundraising target!
