Three years ago, when Pinsent Masons set out to unite their communities to raise money for the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), no one could have predicted how far their idea would go or how many people would still be moving for the cause three years later.
In 2023, Pinsent Masons wanted to do more than raise funds. They wanted to spark action, raise awareness, and inspire others to come together in the fight against online child sexual abuse, an issue that too often hides in the dark. They were looking for something that could connect people across offices.
The result was Move for a Safer Internet.
What began as a simple idea to get people moving, talking, and giving for a safer online world has grown into a three-year movement that has now raised an incredible £60,000 to help IWF keep children safe online.
The concept is simple. Every minute of movement counts. Teams log their physical activity, from lunchtime walks to marathons, all in the name of creating a safer internet for children.
2025 saw that that commitment come to life once again. Across the Pinsent Masons network, teams laced up their trainers, jumped on bikes, and found creative ways to clock up the minutes, all while raising money for IWF.
Over the course of the month, teams logged 3,476 hours and 12 minutes of activity, from lunchtime walks to marathons. In that time, the IWF would have assessed 115,873 reports of child sexual abuse material. a striking reminder of the scale and urgency of the work this campaign supports.
