Think Before You Share campaign toolkit

The IWF latest awareness campaign relaunched on Monday 3 November. The Think Before You Share campaign helps young people understand the risks of sharing explicit images and videos online of themselves and others — including loss of control, manipulation, and long-term harm. It encourages them to pause, reflect, and think before sharing.

The campaign also empowers parents and educators to start open, judgement-free conversations about online behaviour and consent.

Download our campaign toolkit to learn how partners can help spread the word, including social media and newsletter copy suggestions, links to resources, and ideas on how to promote the campaign.

We encourage you to share our campaign using #ThinkBeforeYouShare. By talking openly about this issue, we can work together to create a safer online environment for everyone.

How you can help

  • Share the campaign website across social media and newsletters.
  • Feature the campaign in internal communications or blogs.

  • Link to resources for parents and young people.

  • Help us distribute our educational resources in school settings. Schools and colleges are on the frontline of online risk. With your support, we can get trusted IWF guidance into schools and colleges. Check our resources available here.

  • Use campaign visuals and hashtags (provided in the campaign toolkit).
