Safehire.ai joins IWF to reinforce digital safeguarding in recruitment

New Member Safehire.ai says the organisation is proud to join the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) as it strengthens a shared mission to protect children from online harm.

A safeguarding technology company that works with schools, youth organisations and charities, Safehire.ai believes proactive partnerships are essential to building safer systems, both online and offline.

As part of the membership, Safehire.ai is integrating the IWF’s URL List and Keywords List into its intelligence structure. This enhances the tech organisation’s AI-driven recruitment platform, ensuring that during candidate screening, any attempt to access or reference known child sexual abuse material is swiftly identified and flagged for review.

This partnership brings another level of assurance to Safehire.ai’s customers. It supports their safer recruitment responsibilities and reflects a shared commitment to preventing harm before it happens.

Simon Holden, CEO and Founder of SafeHire.ai, said: “We are proud to join the IWF as a new Member as it is a defining moment in our mission to build safer digital systems around safeguarding and safer recruitment.

“By embedding the IWF’s URL and Keywords lists into our platform, we’re giving organisations the ability to take preventative, intelligent steps against potential safeguarding threats. This is safeguarding by design.”

Derek Ray-Hill, Interim CEO of the IWF, said: “Like-minded organisations like Safehire.ai that prioritise the safety of children enable the IWF to do more, to reach further and widen our impact.

“It is only through partnerships with the tech industry that we can effectively block criminal websites and disrupt the spread of horrific child sexual abuse material. Last year, the IWF acted to remove more child sexual abuse webpages than ever before. There has never been a more important time for all of society to come together and work to eradicate this imagery forever.”
