The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) has been awarded the Excellence in Internet Safety Award at the Corporate LiveWire’s 2017 Innovation & Excellence Awards.
The awards honour businesses that develop and incorporate cutting edge technology into their work to create and promote a brighter future. It celebrates innovation and forward thinking, and gives special recognition to businesses that transform their respective industries and lead industry trends.
The IWF works internationally to make the internet a safer place for everyone, and has proved to be invaluable in the global fight against child sexual abuse content online. We offer international reporting solutions and a variety of unique technical services, such as the game-changing and award-winning IWF Image Hash List, which ultimately helps the IWF and its current 130 Members to disrupt the availability of child sexual abuse imagery online.

We make the internet a safer place. We help victims of child sexual abuse worldwide by identifying and removing online images and videos of their abuse. We search for child sexual abuse images and videos and offer a place for the public to report them anonymously. We then have them removed. We’re a not for profit organisation and are supported by the global internet industry and the European Commission.
