Pinsent Masons' Move for a Safer Internet 2024

Published:  Mon 16 Sep 2024

Today (September 16), the law firm has launched its four week long #Moveforasaferinternet campaign which will see teams competing to raise money by moving more. Teams will run, swim, or walk, all while raising funds and awareness of the IWF.

The team with the highest exercise minutes total at the end of the four weeks will win a £5,000 donation from Pinsent Masons into their IWF fundraising account.

This is the second year running that Pinsent Masons has partnered with the IWF to raise money. Last year they brought together over 24 teams from the cyber industry and raised over £17,000 for the IWF.  We want this year to be bigger and better.

Teams from Arete, Asceris, Beazley, Brit, CyberCX, CYFOR Secure, Cypfer, FleishmanHillard, FTI Consulting, Gensler, Kekst,  Marsh, S-RM will all be taking part.

Kate Moss, Head of Fundraising at the IWF, said: “Children deserve an internet where they can play, socialise, learn, and be themselves without fear. The IWF is working, every day, to help make that happen – and all friends in this fight play a vital part in helping improve the lives of children world-wide.”

Ellie Ludlam, Partner, Pinsent Masons’ Cyber Team, said “We are delighted to partner with the IWF again and to host Move for a Safer Internet for a second year. The work the IWF does is so very important, and we are grateful for the participating companies’ support.”

All funds raised will be used to support IWF’s efforts in enhancing their technology and resources to remove harmful content from the internet, thereby making it a safer place for everyone – please donate using the link below.
