Professor Jonathan Drori CBE

Independent Vice-Chair

Jon was appointed an Independent Trustee in September 2013.

Jon advises large non-profit organisations on outreach, media and technology strategy. He is Chairman of the UK Parliament’s Advisory Council on Public Engagement, Trustee of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Chairman of its commercial arm, and Chairman of Ravensbourne, a college of design and communications. He is a Visiting Industrial Professor in the Graduate School of Education at Bristol University, specialising in the educational uses of technology.

At the UK Government's Department for Culture Media and Sport, Jon was founding Director of Culture Online, a programme to extend the reach of culture and the arts using new techniques, which won many international awards and citation from the National Audit Office for the management of risk and innovation. Previously, he was Head of Commissioning for BBC Online, with oversight of content, navigation and editorial standards and before that, Executive Producer and Director of many popular BBC Television series.
