Sir Paul Beresford MP: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when the Government plans to ratify the Council of Europe Convention on the protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse. [30336]
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, James Brokenshire MP [holding answer 13 December 2010]: The United Kingdom Government take the sexual exploitation and abuse of children very seriously. We are currently in the process of assessing compliance with the Articles of the Convention.
