IWF Operations Manager elected to Vice-President of Hotline Association
Frank Glen, Operations Manager of the Internet Watch Foundation has been appointed as the Vice President of INHOPE, the Association of Hotline Providers.
INHOPE is an organisation whose mission is to facilitate and co-ordinate the work of Internet hotlines in responding to illegal use and content on the internet.Frank’s election forms one of four new appointments to the INHOPE executive, which were voted during the AGM in Paris on 13 May 2005.
Frank was elected to the position of Vice-President, from his previous position as Executive Member without Portfolio.
In his new position one of Frank's primary responsibilities will be the co-ordination of the development of new hotlines.
Frank has been with the IWF since 2000 and is responsible for the operational management of the IWF internet hotline and operational projects.
He is the project coordinator for the EU's Safer Internet Action Plan and has represented the IWF in the Internet Hotline Providers Association since 2002.
He spent 10 years in the Royal Air Force, predominantly in IT roles; his last 4 years as an IT manager in the Transport Fleet’s Network Control Centre. Frank gained comprehensive knowledge and experience of applying UK law serving as a Police Officer immediately prior to joining the IWF.

Ms. Ana Luisa Rotta from the Spanish Protegles hotline was elected to the position of President.

Dr. Carmen Haindl from the Austrian Stopline hotline was elected to the position of Treasurer.

Ms. Suvi Kuikka from the Finnish hotline was elected to the position of executive member without Portfolio.
These appointments followed the retirement of Mr. Thomas Rickert - former President, Ms. Sabine Frank - former vice-President, Mr. Paul Durrant - former Treasurer and Mr. Dieter Carstensen - former executive member without Portfolio.
