The IWF are pleased to announce that MaNAP, have joined as a funding member

Established in 1997, MaNAP is a neutral, not-for-profit Internet Exchange committed to the provision of continuous and resilient layer two ethernet connectivity to operators of Autonomous Systems.

Peter Robbins, IWF, CEO:
“We are always delighted to see commitment from key organisations in the UK internet industry for the work we do. The increasing diversity of our membership base is something we are very proud of and reflects the increasing support and responsibility given to addressing the very serious business of combating illegal images online. ”

Marcus Hopwood, MaNAP CEO:
“ MaNAP is pleased to be contributing to the Internet Watch Foundation - the work that they do to combat child abuse images online is vital and it is the responsibility of all responsible Internet stakeholders to ensure that the IWF has both sufficient funding and support to perform their work effectively. MaNAP encourages all of its members to support the IWF and we are pleased that many of them are funding contributors in their own right. ”

About MaNAP
MaNAP is an internet exchange which operates a 10 Gigabit Ethernet network distributed across the key co-location facilities in Manchester. Its purpose is to facilitate the interconnection of internet service provider networks thereby improving the performance of these networks and ultimately improving end users' experience of the internet.

MaNAP is the only internet exchange in the world to be certified to the ISO 9001 and BS 7799-2 quality and information security standards. As a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, MaNAP has members rather than shareholders. MaNAP's members are the internet service providers that connect to the network. They do not receive a dividend and pay charges which cover the organisations running costs.
