Internet Watch Foundation welcomes Industry Board Trustees
The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) is pleased to announce Hamish MacLeod has been elected to his third term of office and Mark Gracey to his second term of office on the IWF Board. Both Trustees, along with Emma Ascroft, Board Industry Vice-Chair and Head of Public and Social Policy at Yahoo! UK & Ireland, represent the online industry on the Board. Their experience and knowledge will continue to contribute significantly to the strategic direction of the organisation as issues of potentially illegal online content, self-regulation and good practice in combating the abuse of internet services become more prominent.

IWF Annual Report highlights persistent core of child sexual abuse websites
The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) Annual Report, published 17 April 2008, reveals new intelligence regarding the scale of publicly available child sexual abuse websites known to the IWF. Whilst it is very rare to trace these websites to the UK, the IWF has identified a core of 2755 websites hosted abroad during 2007; this total number has remained relatively static for three years and represents a concrete target which can be tackled through international partnerships.
